So after recently losing interest in FMH, I needed a new challenge. I always manage in England as that's where I have a fairly decent knowledge of teams and players ect. So I stay away from managing abroad. But I feel nows the time to find my passport and manage oversees.

I've always fancied managing in the top league in either Germany, Italy or Spain. But I really couldn't decide so I let a random number generator decide for me.

So in alphabetical order Germany=1 Italy=2 Spain=3

So Spain it is.

But which club? Again alphabetical order of La Liga teams this time 1-20.

Good luck Alex, you should try researching about the club to get some background information so you know what to expect, like imagine me walking in from Spanish management and trying out Stoke without knowing beforehand (yeah.... ).

My most important tip with Granada:

Buy some players, because those Udinese loanees won't stay forever, and tie down key players long term because this is a team that got promoted 2 seasons ago and barely survived... twice, once at the making of FMH13 though)

Thanks for the tips Kera. I've read some info about Granada.

My aim is a top half finish, that will give me a platform to build on and I should be able to attract a decent calibre of player when I have to replace all the loans at the end of the season. Touch wood!

Season 1 review 2012/13

Season Expectations

I was confident of staying clear of relegation but felt cup success would be tricky.

The club started with a very tight budget.

I started with 7 players on loan mostly from Udinese.

Transfers

A few senior player refused to sign contracts. Unsure if they may change their mind later in the season, I decided to sell rather then lose for nothing at the end of the season.

League

With 1 game to play I was 1 point ahead of Valencia and 2 points ahead of Barca. I was playing Athletic at home with a 2-0 victory winning the title. In the final 12 games of the season we managed 10 wins and 2 draws.

Cup

Real we're the best team over the 2 legs.

Best Win

With only 5 games to play in the season this away win at Real was important.

Best 11

I used Version 1 of my 4-2-3-1 formation which worked great.

Star Player

He left opposition defenders running scared.

Manager Comment

I'm surprised but delighted we won the league. My team just kept improving as the season went on. I'm really proud of the lads.

Next season I'm targeting league success again and to qualify from the Champions league group stage. My only worry is what budget will I get and I have 11 loan players to replace.

Season Expectations

The board gave me reasonable funds to play with.

Transfers

Main business was signing Ighalo and Torje permanantly. Also I signed several youth players who went straight into my B team.

Spanish Super Cup

League

We won the league with 3 games to play.

Cup

My 1st victory over Barca since becoming Granada manager.

Champions League

My team found an extra gear in extra time to be crowned champions of Europe.

Best Win

We really dominated the Italian giants.

Best 11

Deadly in front of goal.

Manager Comment

Im really pleased for the fans we won every competition we played in.

Next season I'm looking to introduce some of the young players I signed who are in my B team. Also my goalkeeper Tono is "over the hill" so a world class goalkeeper is a must with Stegan my top target.
