2015 Aangca´s 4-3-1-2 Enhanced Engine

So i have used Prize´s Black Pearl with a few tweaks on the New Engine and it worked really well but i felt i lacked some goals and didnt like that my Winger and Inside forward didnt participate as much as i felt they should.

 

So i created a narrow tactic.

 

One of the CTR are changed to BPD against weaker teams.

 

Menality: Balanced

Passing: Mixed

Tackling: Normal

Pressing: On

 

The rest Off.

 

The biggest advantage with this comapred to the Black Pearl is that i got more goals and not only from the strikers but also from the Inside Forward.

I use players with their preffered and suggested role as appropriate. 

Only players i dont use their suggested role for are the Strikers. I started out with a Target Man and Adv Forward but have changed the Target Man to a Poacher instead.

 

I started with a Diamond formation but the Defensive Midfielder was crap so he was moved up to the middle inbetween the APMs. He went from getting 6s to getting 7-8s each game.

 

The Inside Forwards statistics. The previos seasons he´s been playing as an Inside Forward on one of the wings, the last season in the middle.

 

As you can see, he´s been getting more goals and especially more Assists.

 

My earlier lone striker has been getting the same amount of goals as previous seasons and the other two strikers i rotate in have more then doubled their goals.

Yes, im not unbeaten but no team is unbeatable. With a few more top class players i might have been unbeaten but considering the rooster i have i think its pretty good.

 

I cant play hours and hours every day so please do try it with other teams and let me know if it works as well for you as it have done for me.

I've developed a nearly identical formation derived from the Pigg's Drift. Like every other 'successful' formation it works for a while but then opponents seem to figure it out. Tested with Koln and Chelsea well into a career. I'll stick with it for a full season next and post some results.

The Real game was just a bump. In the 2nd game at home i beat them 4-0 and in the Capital Cup Final i beat Man U 3-1 and the same in the FA Cup Quarter final.

Well, that worked. Granted, with a very, very good Chelsea team who's defense allowed less than half as many attempts and shots on goal as we took. Also were well over twice as efficient as our opponents.

 

Won everything. League, Community Shield, Euro Supercup, Club WC, Cap1, FA Cup and ECC. A single loss to ManU all season. 27-10-1 in league. Finished 1 point ahead of an Arsenal side that had better offense and defense than me. Also beat the Gunners in the ECC final. 56-13-1 in all competitions.

 

Starting inside forward had an 8.23 rating, scored 30 and assisted 22 in 52 matches. His backup had 6 and 6 in 23 with a 7.86 rating.

 

I did change the ADF to a CMF. Seemed to provide more assists to the PCR that way. Also swapped the WBKs to FBKs when playing against defensive sides with counter-attack on. Went with short passing if having problems breaking down a defensive side late in matches.

I was using a very similar tactic to this but was unable to get it to work consistently so used this and found it the most successful Tactic I've used so far (with the new engine) , managed a 29 game unbeaten run with Barnsley in League 1 , unfortunately due to my success I was still active in all the cups at the end of November beginning of December.

 

 I had 4 games in 10 days  and drew 1(lost on penalty's) and  lost the other 2 once my squad became stretched had to rotate a lot to keep 11 fit players on the pitch the tactic appeared to become inconsistent  and only won 4 out of the next 7 and no longer dominated games the way i was in the unbeaten run.

 

Great work though I'm going to stick with it and see if this is just a blip now I'm out of 2 of 3 cups I can concentrate on the league.

Rossma: I have the same problem with my team, not enough good rotational players to be able to compete in all competitions. 

League and Champions Cup are my focuses, FA and Capital Cup have been played by those few rotaional players i have and a few youths. But even then my players are slower to recuperate between games now at the end of the season.

 

Picked up the game again now after the holidays and are nearing the end of the season. 

15th of April now and have already won the league and reached the Champions Cup Semi Final after eliminating PSG, now awaits Barcelona.

 

About 6 or 7 games still to play so will get back later this week with the end of season update.

Time for end of season update:

 

Pretty clear winner with 20 points down to Chelsea. Most goals made and sharing least conceded with Chelsea and Liverpool.

 

Looking at my players they did pretty well, especially my Inside Forward Patrick Roberts.

No 2 up there, George Williams, is my back-up Inside Forward and at 4th my top striker.

 

Cauley Woodrow got the Young player of the Year award.

 

 

And Roberts got the Player of the Year award.

 

Pretty big difference between 2nd and 3rd season when looking at his contribution to the team. 

 

So removing the wingers and instead adding another striker and an Inside Forward made a pretty big difference. Have had basicly the same team season 2 and 3. With the results during season 3 i got a nice little transfer budget of 67M so will see if my new signings will give me that extra depth i need to compete in all competetions this season.

I had to abandon your tactic when it became clear it wasn't going to kick back in and get results again , it was a bit strange really as most games i still dominated in chances/ shots but no longer scored any goals and also the AI went stupid and kept scoring with it's only shots on goal etc.

 

what platform are you using ?

 

I'm on an iphone running ios * so I assume I'm running the full new game engine , Just curious if different platforms made any difference .

 

would also be curious if anyone else was getting consistent season after season results using the same tactic with the new game engine.

Have had that problem at times, ive had 15-20 shots on goal but no goal or only one if lucky and the opposition 2-3 shots and scored once or twice. 

Read about it being a bug that can occur.

Use your tactic with real Madrid and was superb. 4th win all league and also 16 cups with one is for Spain winning the world cup. Out of 269 games I only lose 20 and drew 34.

This is definately the best tactic for the Enhanced engine. Look at this domination...

I bought him for €7.5M and now he is worth over €30M. Played him as an Adf.

Almost done with my first season at Burton in League 2, will hopefully be done tomorrow. Just a spoiler, it works great

So, 1st season at Burton done and i won with a good margin.

 

Bought a few players to fit into the formation but couldnt get exactly those i wanted due to wage or lower league then what they wanted to play in.

 

 

 

Only one loss in the league and least golas conceded which is pretty good.

 

 

My Adf Adam McGurk was my best player for Burton compared to the Inf being best when playing with Fulham.

I suspect it depends on the players ability.

Both my strikers topped the list in Avg rating. My Inf was at place 4 and his back-up at no 5.

 

So, yes, it does wok for lower league teams as well.

 

Will see how it works next season now that i have been promoted.

It depends on the player. In season one, my ADF (Pratto) was my best player. But in season two, Patrick Roberts (inf) is ubdoubtely my best player now.

I'm using a formation similar to this in League 2 with Sutton Utd at the moment. The only difference is my wing-backs are pushed forward and my BWM is in front of the defence in a midfield diamond. If I'm chasing a goal I'll push him forward to make a midfield three. I've only been using for about half the season but results have been promising.

I would probably use Dzeko as Poacher and Aguero as Adv Forward.

A bit undecieded regarding the Inside Forward, Nasri or Silva but i think i would go with Nasri until i get a natural Inside Forward.

The mid would then be Milner APM - Toure BWM - Silva APM

Back 4 isnt much to think about but i would pick Clichy - Mangala - Kompany - Zabaleta.

 

So only signing i see needed is an Inside Forward, maybe El Shaarawy from Milan. Then i would remove Milner and give Nasri his APM position.

I did try it with Juve and won the league in 1st season. Played Tevez behind the front 2, hes probably better as a poacher though.

Looked at Feyenoord and I would probably buy a few players that fit the formation.

 

They lack good wing backs, really needed in this narrow formation cause the wings are their responibility.

 

No really good alternative for the Inside Forward position, Bilal Basacikoglu might fit if he can be retrained to a center position. 

 

The only option for the Poacher position is Elvis Manu and in my opinion his Aerial ability isnt good enough. 

And no really good option either for an Advanced Forward.

 

So without bringing in atleast 2 good wingbacks, get a good Inside Forward and probably two better Forwards that fit the formation i can understand why you struggled. Feyenord havent got the players to fit the formation.
