2015 Vanarama National League best players to buy

I know there are many people on here to like to manage in non-league, starting off at the bottom and ending up in the Premier League with the league being very cash-strapped on the game, a little different to affairs in real life at the moment, with some sides finding money out of nowhere to sign players. Quite a lot of people come on here, asking who to sign for the Vanarama Conference North/South - here's a small(ish) guide to help. They don't come cheap though, near enough whoever you want to sign teams will look for five figure fees, which nobody can afford unless you're the likes of Ebbsfleet, Bromley, Havant and Whitehawk who may tend to have the leagues better budgets. To even make a transfer feasible there will be the requirement to sell your best player at most sides.

Although despite that, I will list (starting off with the first one now);

  • The five best players to sign - with a budget £55,000 or more. (can cost between 15 & 50 or so grand)
  • Some of the best free agents available for most clubs to sign.
  • Some of the cheap but good talent that can be signed - for teams with a fair budget - around £10,000.

5 of the best;

Jordan Parkes (Hemel Hempstead Town) £35,000

In real life, Jordan Parkes has just grabbed himself a move to big-spenders Ebbsfleet United, the 25 year old spent three seasons at Hemel Hempstead prior to this move, with the season just gone (in real life) being his most prolific, the versatile player can play all across the back, across the defensive midfield roles and right mid, left mid but his most suited position is centre midfield.

You may not know much, but if you watched him on YouTube - you'd soon see why he is in this list, (trying to balance to books between real life and FM) but he is still very, very good on the game and I'm sure correct training will further improve him too. The set-piece specialist banged in 16 goals to help the Tudors to promotion in 2013-2014, but in which would be seen the peak of his career just gone he scored 20 goals, which for a player who has zero attacking mentality inside him and is not a striker this is something special. In the game he can be picked up for a healthy £35,000 but it will soon be worth it, he will soon get assists and chip in with the occasional goal, not as much as real life unfortunately.  Being a leader as well, means he can most importantly keep the defence tight playing just in-front of the back line, Parkes will be a massive asset in any side he plays for across the Step 2 clubs, and might even be able to play a step higher.

Charlie Sheringham (Ebbsfleet United) £45,000

The son of Teddy, well what more can be said except he certainly has the eye for goal as he father did. The most expensive player on the list, but you will soon see why if you bagged Charlie. He probably will be able to cut it at Conference Premier Level as well, he may be expensive but if you have money to spend (unless you're the Fleet) then well this is your man, he can lead the line and bang in 20 odd goals. The former Dartford, Bournemouth and AFC Wimbledon striker will demand big wages also so he will probably put off most clubs from signing him, but in my opinion on the game he is one of the, if not the best player in the league and the price definitely shows that. On his day, he can score for fun but has been unfortunate with injuries in the past season in real life. If you're going to manage Ebbsfleet then I cannot recommend it more than anything, big finances and fantastic players, with Danny Kedwell up front, you have a dream strike force for this level. Myself, I've played with Sheringham a few times on the occasional saves, but not for a while. GOALS GOALS GOALS. This is the best way for me to describe him, if he don't score then feel free to blame me :P
